Tasty Pâté with Mushrooms and Autumn Herbs
This mushroom pâté recipe is a real autumnal delight. Perfect to accompany a salad or to enjoy with fresh bread.
Ingredients
- 300g of mixed mushrooms (button mushrooms, porcini mushrooms)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 50g butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 100g country bread, diced
- 2 eggs
- 100ml of fresh cream
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Shortcrust pastry
Instructions
- Mushroom preparation : In a frying pan, heat the butter and olive oil. Add the onion and garlic, sauté until translucent. Add the mushrooms and cook until golden brown.
- Mix the ingredients : In a salad bowl, mix the cooked mushrooms, country bread, eggs, cream, thyme and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat the oven : Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F).
- Assembling the pâté : Spread the shortcrust pastry in a tart pan. Pour the mushroom mixture over the pastry and smooth the surface.
- Baking : Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown.
- Tasting : Let cool slightly before serving. This pâté can be enjoyed hot or cold.
Advice
Serve it with a lamb's lettuce salad for a contrast of flavors.
