Tasty Gratin of Potatoes and Seasonal Leeks

Fall is the perfect season to enjoy comfort food. This potato and leek gratin combines simplicity and deliciousness to warm the hearts.
Ingredients
- 800 g of potatoes
- 2 leeks
- 250 ml of crème fraîche
- 100 g grated cheese (Gruyere type)
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Nutmeg

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices. Clean the leeks, then cut them into slices as well.

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the leeks and garlic and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and a pinch of nutmeg.Assembling the gratin
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). In a baking dish, place a layer of potatoes on the bottom, followed by a layer of leeks, then repeat. Finish with a layer of potatoes.
Pour the crème fraîche evenly over the top and sprinkle with grated cheese.Cooking
Bake the gratin for about 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the potatoes are tender.
Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
